Riga Porcelain Museum

In the collection of the museum, you can find almost 8000 different porcelain and pottery items made on a porcelain factory in the period from the mid-19th to the end of the 20th century. Here, you can see the dishes produced during the prewar period on Esen and Kuznetsov factories.
In a separate exhibition hall, you may get acquainted with vases, dishes, and fine porcelain, dedicated to the events of the Soviet ideology times.
There is also a workshop where everyone with the help of professional paints can paint the selected porcelain and bake it in the oven.

Riga Art Nouveau Museum


Here, you can explore the renovated apartments of Riga`s inhabitants, full of various exhibits, which will give you an idea of the period of Art Nouveau in Riga and the atmosphere of those times. Visitors can visit the hallway, living room, fireplace lounge, dining room, study, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and the maid’s room. Things made in Riga attract attention: porcelain, made in Kuznetsov’s Porcelan factory, products of Ilguciem’s Glass-Blowing Factory, and other unique hand-made items. The entrance to the museum leads to one of the most beautiful stairs, not only in Riga but also across Europe.


Riga Film Museum

Riga Film Museum is the only of the kind in Latvia. The museum is devoted to collecting, preserving, and promoting the historic evidence of Latvian cinema, contributing to the understanding of the development of Latvian audio-visual culture within the context of the world, and helping audiences to orientate in the contemporary cultural space.
The Riga Film Museum regularly curates exhibitions on Latvian and foreign film luminaries and film history from its beginnings to the present day. The museum also hosts film screenings and talks, as well as creative workshops for children.

Latvia Firefighters Museum

The building of this museum was found in 1912.

On the first floor you can learn some interesting facts about Latvian Firefighters. Here you can see a lot of  firefighter tools, a special car „Chevrolet-Sux", medals, fire helmets, uniform, photos, documents... A lot of different things. In fact it is easier and much more interesting to have a real-life look by yourself.



It is also a nice place for children, because here they can learn how to act in a case of the fire and some other  extreme situations.

The Sun Museum

The Sun Museum has already brought a sunlight and happiness in many Latvin families and has delighted many visitors from all world during it’s first year of work. Sun worship has been a very old tradition in world cultures since the ancient times. No one can tell us today when exactly admiration for this solar object which has long been a source of light, warmth and fertility, took place for the very first time. And here you can learn something about Sun in different cultures.
As well there is opportunity to paint the plaster sun by yourself at the creative workshop of Sun Museum as gift from the museum. Fun for children and something unusual for their parents.
